Xiaomi has launched their latest smartphone Redmi 6, the successor of the Redmi 5 along with Redmi 6A in China. Let’s check out the specifications of Xiaomi Redmi 6.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone’s screen has a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. The device is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P22 12nm processor along with 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
Redmi 6 arrives in two storage configurations; 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage. The storage can be further extended up to 256GB by using microSD card. The handset has a Dual Hybrid SIM slot and the fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back of the device.
Coming to the camera department, Redmi 6 sports a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture. The phone also has a 5MP secondary rear camera for capturing portrait shots. On the front, it has a 5MP snapper with a f/2.2 aperture to take care of the selfies. The front cam also supports face unlock feature.
Redmi 6 comes with support for connectivities like 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/ n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS + GLONASS. The device sips its juice from a 3000mAh battery which is a little bit lower when compared to its predecessor, Xiaomi Redmi 5. Out of the box, Redmi 6 runs on Android Oreo 8.1 along with MIUI 9 (upgradable to MIUI 10) on top.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pricing and Availability
Xiaomi Redmi 6 arrives in Grey, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold colors in China and will be available in the country from June 15th. The Redmi 6 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant costs 799 yuan ($124) whereas the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version costs 999 yuan ($156).
