Xiaomi is gearing up to unleash both the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones on December 7 in China. Both devices got leaked several times in some press renders. Whereas now, the both Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones official press renders have surfaced before its launch. These renders came from Donovan Sung, Xiaomi’s Director of Product Management and Marketing via Twitter.
The upcoming smartphones will be available in the Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold color options. The Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will arrive with thinner bezels compared to previous Redmi-branded handsets and sport a rear-facing fingerprint scanner. However, as far as specs are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 is expected to have a bit lower specs than the Redmi 5 Plus.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Rumored Specifications
Redmi 5 is expected to have a 5.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440 x 720pixels. The phone is expected to arrive in two variants: 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM with the Snapdragon 450 SoC, while the internal memory is 32GB.
On camera segment, the Redmi 5 will feature a 12MP rear camera along with a 5MP Selfie camera. The handset will arrive with a 3,300mAh non-removable battery under the hood.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Rumored Specifications:
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus will sport a 5.99-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Similar to Redmi 5, this device will also arrive in two variants: 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM while inbuilt storage would be 64GB.
Inside the phone, there will be the Snapdragon 625 64-bit octa-core processor to power the device. Redmi 5 Plus will sport a 12MP primary camera along with a 5MP secondary camera as well. The both Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones will arrive with Android Nougat, and MIUI 9 on top of it.
