Xiaomi had already confirmed that it will be launching a new smartphone on July 11th. The company has just announced a new variant of Mi Note 2 dubbed as Mi Note 2 Special Edition in China. Xiaomi launched the 4GB variant of Mi Note 2 last year and now the 6GB+128GB variant is listed on the official Mi Website.
Mi Note 2 4GB was launched with a price tag of 2799 Yuan. The new 6GB+128GB variant is priced at 2899 Yuan but the company is giving a 300 Yuan discount and priced it at 2599 Yuan ($382) which is a very good deal. Interestingly the Mi website is still selling the 4GB variant for 2799 Yuan.
As far as specs are concerned, Mi Note 2 comes with a 5.7-inch Dual-Curved OLED Flexible Display with 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB onboard storage. The device comes with a 22.56MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter. Under the hood, Mi Note 2 has a 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support for fast charging. The handset will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow initially with MIUI 8 on the top.
