Xiaomi has announced their latest flagship smartphone Mi MIX 2S at an event in China. Let’s check out the specs of this device.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Specifications
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S comes with a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, and DCI-P3 color gamut. Luckily the display doesn’t come with a notch.
The device is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU. In terms of RAM and storage, the device comes in three variants: 6GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Out of the box, Mi MIX 2S runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 on the top of it.
Coming to the camera department, Mi MIX 2S sports a 12MP+12MP dual rear cameras. The primary 12MP sensor comes with Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, 4-axis OIS, Optical Zoom. While the secondary 12MP snapper is a telephoto lens and comes with f/2.4 aperture, 2X zoom. The secondary camera helps to capture AI portrait shots and it can detect 206 kinds of scenes and 25 categories using AI. On the front, a 5MP front-facing snapper is there to take care of the selfies and face unlock. The front-facing camera is now placed at the bottom and it can capture real-time AI portraits. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S scores 101 at DxO Mark for photo beating Galaxy S9+.
Mi MIX 2S features Dual SIM with Dual 4G VoLTE connectivity. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back. The device sips its juice from a 3400mAh battery which supports QC 3.0 fast charging and 7.5W Qi wireless charging. This is probably the first Ceramic smartphone that comes with wireless charging support.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S is priced at 3299 yuan ($527) for the 6GB+64GB variant while the 6GB+128GB variant costs 3599 yuan ($575). The top-end model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs 3999 yuan ($639). The device comes in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White colors. It is now up for pre-order and will go on sale on April 3rd.
