Xiaomi is gearing up to announce their next smartphone Mi Mix 2S in China on March 27th. A few months later after Mi Mi 2S’s launch, Xiaomi is also expected to announce their flagship smartphone Mi 7. Leaks and rumors have already started coming on Mi 7. Today a Xiaomi smartphone codenamed “Dipper” which is alleged to be Mi 7 appears at the benchmarking website GeekBench. The GeekBench 4.1 listing reveals some of its key specifications.
According to the listing, Xiaomi Mi 7 aka Dipper is expected to feature Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6GB RAM. The phone is running on Android Oreo with MIUI 8 on the top. The device scores 2449 in the single core test and 8309 in the multi-core test. Looking at the scores it seems the device will be a sub $450 phone which will directly compete with recently announced Zenfone 5Z.
According to the alleged Xiaomi Mi 7 firmware files, the device will have a 6.01-inch Full HD+ OLED panel made by Samsung. The display is also expected to have Always-On feature. Mi 7 is likely to have support for 7.5W wireless charging just like iPhone X.
A previous leak claimed Mi 7 to have an 8GB variant too. So there will be two variants as well. Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to launch in June this year.
