Xiaomi India is gearing up to launch their first dual camera smartphone in India. The company’s official twitter handle has posted an image with a hashtag #FlagshipDualCamera. The event is going to happen in New Delhi, India. The company is also inviting fans to attend the launch event. Only Mi India fans can register for this event and they have to register before 31st August, 10 PM. The selected applicants will be notified via email on September 2, 2017.
As far as the device is concerned, it is expected that Xiaomi will launch Mi 5X in India. The teaser image shows two sensors with different apertures which certainly indicates that it will be Mi 5X.
Xiaomi Mi 5X was announced in China back in July. The device features a 5.5-inch Full HD LTPS Display with 2.5D curved glass, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The device will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on the top.
The handset sports 12MP+12MP Dual rear camera setup at the back. One lens is wide-angle while the other lens is a telephoto lens which offers portrait mode, Bokeh effect, and much more features. On the front, it has a 5MP shooter to take care of the selfies. To keep the lights on, the device has a 3080mAh battery under the hood.
Mi 5X is priced at 1499 yuan in China which is roughly Rs. 14421.32 in Indian currency. So it is highly possible that the device will come in the same price point in India too.
