World’s first commercial in-display fingerprint sensor smartphone Vivo X20 Plus UD is finally official in China. A few weeks back the device at CES 2018, the company showcased this device. Except the under-display fingerprint sensor, other specifications are same as Vivo X20 Plus which was announced last year.
Vivo X20 Plus UD Specifications
The main highlight of the smartphone is the under-display fingerprint sensor. The company uses optical Clear ID FS9500 sensor by Synaptics and according to the company, the sensor can unlock the phone within 0.6seconds to 0.7 seconds. Well, this is not the fastest fingerprint sensor but there’s a lot of room for this tech to grow.
Anyway coming to the other specs, Vivo X20 Plus UD sports a 6.43-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 2160 x 1080 pixels resolution and 18: 9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 660 processor along with Adreno 512 GPU. the handset offers 128GB onboard storage with 4GB RAM. The memory can be expanded up to 256GB with microSD. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Funtouch OS 3.2 on the top.
Coming to the camera segment, the device features 12MP + 5MP dual cameras at the back with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture. While on the front, it has a 12MP selfie camera with soft LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. Apart from these, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM set up and a 3905mAh battery to keep the lights on.
Vivo X20 Plus UD Pricing
Vivo X20 Plus UD comes with a price tag of 3,598 yuan ($568 / Rs. 36,090 approx.) and it will be available in China from February 1st. The device comes in a Black color with golden rims around the display and rear cameras.
