Japanese electronics giant Sharp is planning to launch not one but two new bezel-less phones in the near future. A new rumor emerging from China states that the two devices named FS8010 and FS8016 bear very close resemblance to the Mi Mix. Or should we say vice-versa? We should note that Sharp actually came to market with the first bezel-less phone. Two years earlier when Sharp launched the Aquos Crystal, it was a one of a kind phone unseen before.
The source of the leak believes the new models will push the limits even further and almost render bezels extinct. Both the devices will be identical in all respects except the processor. One of them will sport Snapdragon 660, the other the Snapdragon 630.
And there is more to this rumor than just empty talk as one of these handsets, the FS8010 has passed AnTuTu. It holds a 5.5-inch 2048 x 1080 display with a screen to body ratio of 91.3%. That is as bezel-less as it can get. Further, it has 4 GB/ 6 GB of RAM and dual 12 MP cameras and Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Sharp is expected to reveal both smartphones in the not so distant future on July 17.
