Its actually been a while since we have heard about some smartphone launch from Sharp, and breaking the gap the manufacturer today announced a new high-end Android Smartphone under its “Aquos” lineup. The new device will be called the Sharp Aquos R and features some bleeding edge hardware specifications.
The Sharp Aquos R hardware specifications include the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4GB RAM. The device features a 5.3-inch Quad-HD resolution display which also has support for HDR 10. Thanks to the IGZO display, the screen offers some really accurate screen input by featuring a high refresh rate.
The device does not bring a dual-camera setup like pretty much every other high-end Smartphones, but the primary sensor is of 22.6MP resolution and f/1.9 aperture whereas the front-facing selfie shooter has a 16MP resolution sensor. The primary camera features Optical Image Stabilization and is a wide-angle 90-degree lens.
The device will have a 3160mAh battery and features Quick Charge 3.0 support. An USB Type-C port is added instead of MicroUSB for charging and data syncing.
The Sharp Aquos R also comes inbuilt with the company’s latest Artificial Intelligence technology, called EMOP.
As of now, no official wording on the price or availability of the Sharp Aquos R is provided. The company has branded the device as a high-end compact Smartphone, which would also mean that the device will have a premium price tag.
