Finally, Samsung has unveiled their high-end clamshell smartphone W2018. This is the first smartphone to come with f/1.5 aperture. It has 4.2-inch Super AMOLED dual displays so you will be able to use the phone when it is closed. Let’s check out the other specs.
Samsung W2018 Specifications
Samsung W2018 sports two 4.2-inch Full HD displays with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM. W2018 comes in two storage variants: 64GB or 256GB. The storage can be upgraded up to 256GB with microSD. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
In the camera segment, W2018 features 12MP rear camera with f/1.5 or f/2.4 aperture, PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization and LED Flash. The aperture will be changed to f/2.4 when there is enough light. On the front, it has a 5MP camera which comes with f/1.9 aperture. The device can record videos up to 4K@30fps.
The fingerprint sensor in this device is placed beside the camera panel just like we have seen in Galaxy S8 and Note 8 series. The device supports Hybrid dual SIM with 4G VoLTE. Under the hood, it has a 2300mAh battery to keep the device alive.
Samsung W2018 comes in Gold and Silver colors and it will go on sale from China Telecom. The pricing is not revealed yet.
