After a long list of leaks and rumors finally, a leak came from the popular leakster Evan Blass who literally unveiled almost all the details of the upcoming Galaxy S8. We have seen a lot of different concept images and nonetheless, those leaks were quite right instead of the Fingerprint sensor which is placed in a different and awkward position.
This year Samsung is going for two different sized variants; one of them will have 5.8-inch Super AMOLED Display while the other one will come with 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Display. Both displays will be QHD and will cover the 83% area on the front panel.
Samsung will go for both Snapdragon 835 SoC and Exynos chipsets for the respective markets just like previous year. All the chipsets will be made out of 10nm processing which will make sure the devices will be 11% faster, 23% faster graphics rendering, and 20% more energy efficient than Galaxy S7. Both the variants will sport 4GB RAM just like the predecessor. As a new edition, there will be a 64GB variant which can be expanded up to 256GB using microSD card.
As Camera options, Galaxy S8 will sport a 12MP camera at the back and an 8MP camera on the front. Both the lenses come with f/1.7 aperture. Alongside there will be an Iris Scanner too on the front.
For the first time, Samsung will remove the Home button, and the fingerprint sensor will be placed at the back just beside the camera panel. This looks awkward but for some people, Fingerprint sensor beneath the camera module seems problematic. Even though the Display will be bigger in size but the batteries will not be big enough to get more daily talk time. The 5.8-inch version will sport a 3000mAh battery while the 6.2-inch version will include 3500mAh battery. We can also see the 3.5mm Headphone port at the bottom of the device so it’s a good news of the music lovers.
Anyway every year Samsung launch their flagship smartphone at MWC, Barcelona but this year the event will be held in New York City. The 5.8-inch variant is expected to come with a price tag of 799 Euros (₹58,185.02 approx) while the 6.2-inch variant will be priced at 899 Euros (₹65,467.25).
