Samsung revealed some incredible numbers while it’s press conference at CES. The President and COO of Samsung Electronics America Tim Baxter said the firm had sold moreover 5 million Gear VR headset by now. Adding to it, he also said the users had watched more ten millions hours of entertaining video using Samsung’s VR solution. Since it’s about the tech giant, it is worth reminding that the first Gear VR headset launched by Samsung was in December 2014.
However, it was only compatible with Samsung Note 4. And later in 2015, the firm along with Oculus launched a new affordable VR which was compatible with Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5 via microUSB connection. Later, Samsung launched the Gear VR (2016) back in last year including the Note 7 which failed in the market since it got a lot of negative reviews.
