According to the grapevine that Samsung is installing the heat pipe mechanism for its in-the-loop handset Galaxy S8, similar to what it did with Galaxy S7.
Reportedly, Samsung was mulling over the possibility of employing a two-pipe design but finally shifted to the safe tested setup.
The time when Samsung S7 was launched, the size of the heat pipe fixed into the device was the thinnest ever – 0.4mm. The modus operandi of the heat pipe is regulating the temperature within the device and ensuring smooth functioning while neutralizing any overheating concerns.
As far as one knows, LG is also banking strongly on the heat pipe concept to nip the overheating problems with its upcoming flagship G6 in the bud.
