Samsung has filed a trademark voice-controlled digital assistant, Bixby which will come with Galaxy S8 handset.
Samsung explained Bixby as “a computer software for personal information management, computer application software for smartphones, mobile telephones, portable computers and tablet computers, namely, software used to operate voice recognition system… computer software for enabling hands-free use of a mobile phone through voice recognition.”
Previously, Samsung had its voice assistant, S Voice installed in some phones but that could not bring much success. It seems that Samsung is gearing up for its Galaxy S8 release with as much exclusiveness and innovativeness as possible. In the end, Bixby might give competition to Siri, Google Assitant, or Cortana.
