Samsung has revealed its revenue for the fourth quarter of 2016. The South Korean firm gained 50 percent of profit by manufacturing semiconductors and displays for other companies. It’s astonishing to see such a profit generated from Samsung even after the Galaxy Note 7 issues.
The South Korean firm said it has grossed 9.2 trillion won which is approximate $7.2 billion operating income for Q4. As stated earlier, the company also produces chips and displays for other firms including its competitor Apple. According to a report from IDC, Samsung’s smartphone market share was somewhere around 20 percent in the middle of Note 7 debacle. Since the firm announced to take back Note 7 in Q3, it downgraded the operating profit of the year up to 96 percent.
