Ringing Bells, a newborn domestic handset maker, established in 2015, is now planning to launch India’s cheapest smartphone for just under Rs. 500. A revolutionary move that could change the price range of all other smartphones. The device is named as Freedom 251 and will be launched on 17th February by Union defense minister of India Manohar Parrikar.
The company recently launched Bell 101, one of the most affordable 4G smartphone in India with a price tag of just Rs. 2,999. The company even released two featured phones in Bell series, named as Bell Master and Bell 4U which are carrying a price tag of Rs. 999 and Rs. 799 respectively. The company has also launched a power bank, Kiwi, which is priced at Rs. 399.
The Noida-based company said, The launch is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for “empowering India to the last person, transforming India’s growth story”.
The company is just 4 months old and will give a tough competition to the other domestic companies, at least on the basis of price range. Ringing Bells has offered that the entire price of the product will be free to the customer at the time of delivery, but the products to be booked first.
