In the presence of the Vice President of Xiaomi Hugo Barra Xiaomi has launched it’s new Redmi Note 2 in 4 countries respectively Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan at an event in Malaysia. Lets take a quick look at the specs of this device.
Redmi Note 2 has a 5.5 inches full HD, 1920×1080px resolutions display with 400 ppi pixel density. This device is powered by 2.0Ghz MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core 64-bit A53 architecture CPU along with 2GB RAM and Power VR G6200 GPU. The internal storage is 16 which is expandable upto 32GB using MicroSD. The device runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) out of the box with the brand new MIUI 7 on the top of it.
The rear camera is a 13.0MP with 0.1s Phase Detection Autofocus, 78° wide-angle lens, 2.2 aperture. It can record upto 1080p videos. The front-facing camera is 5MP with Beautify to take beautiful selfies.
The Redmi Note 2 has Dual SIM enabled along with 4G network support. 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4/5GHz dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Proximity sensor connectivities are also present. It has got a whopping Lithium-ion polymer 3060mAh non-removable battery. Inside the box you will get a battery, power adapter, USB 2.0 cable, warranty card and user guides.
The device is priced RM 649 (Rs. 10,000 approx) in Malaysia, S$ 229 in Singapore, HK$ 1099 in Hong Kong and NT$ 4999 in Taiwan. Redmi Note 2 is available in white and dark grey color variants.
