Xiaomi’s Redmi has announced its first K series flagship smartphone, Redmi K20 Pro at an event in China. Let’s check out the specifications of the device.
Specifications of Redmi K20 Pro
K20 Pro features a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED HDR display with the resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and the aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The bezels are very narrow; only 2.1mm which makes the screen-to-body ratio 91.9%.
The device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 processor along with Adreno 640 GPU. To reduce the internal heat company uses 8 layers of graphite 3D sheet.
Four different memory variants available for this device; 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 128GB and the top end 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. Unfortunately, no external memory card slot is available here but you get dual SIM slots. K20 Pro runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on the top of it.
Redmi K20 Pro features triple rear cameras; a 48MP (f/1.75) Sony IMX586 primary camera, an 8MP telephoto lens for 2x loss-less zoom and a 13MP 124.8° ultra-wide lens. On the front, a 20MP pop-up selfie camera is present with f/2.2 aperture. This pop-up camera can response within 0.8 seconds and that mechanism was tested more than 300,000 times.
The smartphone comes with a unique design, the 3D curved back panel sports flame effect for the blue and red variants. Where the black variant comes with kevlar gradient texture. The device also has 7th generation optical in-display fingerprint sensor with 3P lens which is 100% more sensitive than the previous generation.
Besides these, you also get Dual 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, Aqstic WCD9340 Hi-Fi audio chip and Game Turbo 2.0. Inside the hood, it has a massive 4000mAh with 27W fast charging which can charge your smartphone up to 58% within 30 minutes.
Redmi K20 Pro Price and Availability
Redmi K20 Pro is priced at 2499 yuan (₹25,000 approx.) for the 6GB / 64GB storage version, 2599 yuan (₹26,000 approx.) for the 6GB / 128GB storage version, 2799 yuan (₹28,000 approx.) for the 8GB / 128GB storage version and 2999 yuan (₹30,000 approx.) for the 8GB RAM / 256GB storage version. The sale will start in China from 1st June.
