Oppo added a feather in its cap by pushing down the Apple and gaining top smartphone manufacturer spot in China by occupying 16.8% market share. After getting a lot of positive response for Oppo R9, which was listed as best selling the smartphone in China, Oppo is planning to make 2017 much better than the last year.
The company increased the shipments by 132.9% to 99.4 million devices in 2016 with 7.3% global share. Whereas now, some sources cite that Oppo has targeted 160 million units for 2017, which is nearly 60% higher than last year.
Furthermore, other sources expect a 20% higher than last year, which is 120 million devices. To be in sync with the rising demand, Oppo has extended its manufacturing plants in China from three to five. Moreover, the company has also added production base in Indonesia and is also expected to start manufacturing its devices in India too.
