Recently Xiaomi CEO has spoken that the latest Snapdragon 845 processor is very expensive and the price is almost three times than Snapdragon 660 chip. Now the CEO of OnePlus Pete Lau also expressed his view on Snapdragon 845 SoC. He says that the chip is very expensive but the performance is flawless. So he indirectly confirmed that OnePlus will use Snapdragon 845 SoC in OnePlus 6.
While in the comment section some people asked him about the price rise of the upcoming smartphone OnePlus 6. Pete Lau says the price may go up surely as the chip price is very high and he can’t do anything about it.
Previous leaks suggest that OnePlus 6 8GB variant will be priced at CAD 749 ($585). The price is higher than the current flagship OnePlus 5T which is priced at $559.
OnePlus 6 is rumored to feature a 6.2-inch 19:9 display with Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB/8GB RAM, Android 8.1 Oreo, 128GB/256GB storage.
