As expected, OnePlus has launched their new flagship OnePlus 5T at an event in Brooklyn, New York. Let’s check out the specs of this smartphone.
OnePlus 5T sports a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The display comes with 18:9 aspect ratio, 2106 ×1080 pixels resolution and 80.5% screen-to-body ratio. The device is powered by 2.45GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 835 64-bit SoC with Adreno 540 GPU. In terms of storage and RAM, the device comes in two variants: 6GB RAM with 64GB of storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Oxygen OS 4.7 on the top. The handset is also upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo.
Coming to the camera specs, OnePlus 5T sports 16MP+20MP dual camera at the back. The 16MP wide-angle unit comes with dual LED Flash, f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX398 sensor, and EIS. While the 20MP unit comes with f/1.7 aperture, Sony IMX376K sensor. The rear cameras can shoot videos up to 4K at 30fps, 1080p at 60 fps, and 720p slow motion at 120fps. OnePlus 5’s telephoto lens is replaced by the 20MP sensor in 5T for better bokeh effect, low light performance. On the front, it has the same 16MP snapper. OnePlus 5T now supports face recognition feature which can unlock the phone within 0.2 seconds. It also works in dark.
The fingerprint sensor is now relocated at the back. The sensor is made out of ceramic and can unlock the phone within 0.2 seconds. To keep the device alive, it has a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge for fast charging. The company promises that with Dash Charge your phone will run a full day with just 30 minutes of charging.
OnePlus 5T’s 6GB RAM variant is priced at $499 in the US and Rs. 32,999 in India. While the 8GB RAM variant costs $559 in the US and Rs. 37,999 in India. The device comes in Midnight Black color. The handset will be available exclusively from Amazon.in from November 21st at 4:30 PM.
