The Daydream View headsets will be delivered by today to those who pre-booked it earlier. Meanwhile, Google is preparing for the launch with other dealers by making the official Daydream view app ready. With no delay, Google has released the Daydream app on Play Store for the users having the headset and compatible devices.
This app is the digital showcase for Daydream and an individual app that manages background process for Google’s VR Platform. The app also acts as a home screen for the Daydream compatible content and lets you access them in a virtual app grid quickly. It also has few other extra settings and widgets, also links to other VR apps on Play Store. It’s also possible to access the app in standard mode too, in case if you want to uninstall the app without using headset and controller.
However, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the only phones available at the moment which are compatible with Daydream View Headset. And, we hope that the third-party manufacturers will launch more compatible devices soon. The app is already available on Google Play, and if you haven’t get it due to any reason, you can get a copy of it from APKMirror.
