ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia has announced their latest flagship gaming smartphone Red Magic 3 at an event in China. Let’s check out the specs of this smartphone.
Nubia Red Magic 3 Specifications
Nubia Red Magic 3 features a 6.65-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with the resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 430 nits brightness. The display also comes with HDR support.
Coming to the other specs, Red Magic 3 houses 7nm Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 chipset with Adreno 640 GPU. The device comes with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB/128GB onboard storage.
While the premium variant features 12GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Redmagic OS 2.0 on the top.
Red Magic 3 pairs liquid cooling technology with an internal turbo fan which increases the effective heat transfer by 500%. This thermal design boosts the performance for a smoother, more comfortable gaming experience.
There’s an additional hardware button “Red Magic Game Space 2.0” which toggles a gaming-focused dashboard. You can change the speed of the fan, monitor temperature, block notifications, change performance settings, and also record in-game videos.
Touch sensitive buttons trigger buttons can be used to configure and custom-map buttons according to the gaming need. The RGB lighting at the back panel can be customized and it comes with over 16.8 million colors.
Red Magic 3 sports Sony IMX586 48MP rear camera with f/1.75 aperture, dual LED flash. While on the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The device comes with DTS:X, 3D sound technology, and dual front-facing stereo speakers. Red Magic 3 sips its juice from a 5,000mAh battery with 27W quick charging.
Nubia Red Magic 3 Pricing
Nubia Red Magic 3 is priced at 2899 yuan ($430) for the 6GB+64GB variant, 3199 yuan ($475) for the 6GB+128GB variant, 3499 yuan ($519) for the 8GB+128GB variant. While the premium version with 12GB RAM costs 4299 yuan ($638). Red Magic 3 comes in Black, Flame Red, Camouflage and Red with Blue Gradient colors.
The device will be up for sale in China from May 3rd. While the other markets i.e USA, Canada, Europe, and the UK will get it later in May. The company has also confirmed that it will launch the device soon in India.
