After being acquired by Geely, Meizu is set to make a comeback in the smartphone market with its latest flagship, the Meizu 20 series. The lineup is expected to feature two models – the Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro. The latest news suggests that the vanilla model’s protective case has been spotted online, providing a glimpse into the device’s design.
A phone case with the brand name Pandaer has been circulating on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The case is said to be designed for the Meizu 20 and is said to match the design as seen in patent images. Pandaer is Meizu’s sub-brand that focuses on accessories and other gadgets.
The phone case sports flat sides and a large vertical opening on the back for the camera module. The device is expected to have 4 circular rings on the back housing at least 3 cameras. The front of the Meizu 20 is said to feature a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, and the power and volume buttons are located on the right edge.
Meizu 20 (M381Q) and Meizu 20 Pro (M391Q) have recently received radio approval, with the Pro model expected to support the ultra-wideband function of UWB. In addition, the Meizu 20’s battery and charging capacity have been revealed through national quality certification, with the device expected to come equipped with a 4600mAh battery and support for 80W fast charging.
Both the Meizu 20 and Meizu 20 Pro are expected to arrive with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. While there has been no official confirmation, rumors suggest that the Meizu 20 could be launching sometime in March. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new device.
