Reliance Jio’s plans to kickstart its broadband services aren’t a strange fact. And, its telecommunication service is also on an expand. However, in a new development, Reliance Jio Infocomm is gearing up to launch Direct to Home (DTH) services by March or April this year. And, what’s exciting is the recent image leak of its set-top box, which is understood to connect to the Jio fiber or dish – a part of the entire setup that will convert the content and relay it on the TV.
As per the pictures, the set-top box features a Mic button, suggesting the integration of voice-activated features. This set-top box by Reliance Jio is circular in shape, which is different than most of the rival set-tops.
Adding to it, there’s an ethernet port, an S/PDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format) port, a USB port and an HDMI port. In its initial phase, Reliance Jio’s DTH service will be limited to a certain number of cities only.
