Apple might launch three iPhones this year including iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 8. iPhone 8 is rumored to come up with edge to edge OLED display this year. While another latest report from Barclays suggests that all the three iPhones will feature True Tone Display.
Apple last time used True Tone Display in 9.7-inch iPad Pro which uses advanced ambient light sensors to adjust the color intensity of the Display to match the color temperature in different environments. For example, if you are standing in low light the display will become warmer and yellowish. While on a cloudy day, the display will become cooler and bluer. The True Tone Display is somewhat similar to Night Shift feature of iPhone and Mac.
Anyway, all the three iPhones (iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 8) will feature “full spectral sensing ambient light sensor” for the True Tone displays. The displays will be supplied by Austrian manufacturer AMS.
