A new Huawei smartphone has received national 3C quality certification with model number GOA-AL80. The model number is highly anticipated to be a part of the Huawei P60 series, according to the well-known tech blogger “WHYLAB”. Interestingly, WHYLAB also pointed out that the GOA codename fits with Huawei’s internal codename for the P60 series, La Gioconda Mona Lisa.
The GOA-AL80 has been certified to support 20V 5A 100W fast charging, manufactured by Guilin Kaifa Technology. This feature has never been seen before in Huawei’s P series. This has led many to speculate that the GOA-AL80 is actually the highly anticipated P60 Pro model.
The Huawei P60 series is set to launch at Huawei’s Spring Flagship New Product Launch Conference, which is scheduled for March 23. The P60 Pro is expected to come equipped with some impressive hardware, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 6.6-inch 2K BOE OLED display, and LPDDR5X+UFS4.0 memory capabilities.
The P60 Pro’s camera setup is also expected to be a standout feature, with an upgrade to XMAGE 2.0 and a triple-camera setup. The primary camera is reported to feature a 50MP Sony IMX888 sensor, while the wide-angle sensor will have a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor. The device will also feature a third telephoto camera with a 64MP OV64B Omnivision sensor, which will offer 3.5x optical zoom.
The P60 series is expected to include at least three models, including the P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Artist Design Edition. It’s worth noting that the Huawei P50, which was released in 2021, supports up to 66W fast charging. However, the Huawei nova 10 Pro is currently the only model that supports 100W fast charging and can fully charge its 4500mAh battery in just 20 minutes.
Aside from the P60 series, Huawei’s Spring Flagship New Product Launch Conference will also showcase other exciting products, such as the folding display flagship Huawei Mate X3.
