As promised, Huawei has announced its two new mid-range smartphones of “Nova” series Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus in China. Both the smartphones are the successor of the Nova and Nova Plus which were launched last year. Let’s check out the quick specifications.

Huawei Nova 2 sports a 5-inch Full HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display while the Nova 2 Plus sports a bigger 5.5-inch Full HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display. Both the smartphones are powered by octa-core Kirin 659 processor along with 4GB RAM. As memory options, Nova 2 has a 64GB storage while Nova 2 Plus has 128GB storage. The internal memory can be expanded up to 128GB with microSD.
Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus have same 12MP+8MP rear cameras with LED flash, PDAF, 1.25-micron pixel size and f/1.8 aperture. Both the devices also have 20MP front-facing camera. Apart from these, they run on Android 7.0 Nougat based on EMUI 5.1 out of the box.
As connectivity options, both the devices support 4G LTE, Hybrid Dual SIM and Fingerprint sensor placed at the back. Nova 2 has got a 2950mAh battery under the hood while the Nova 2 Plus has got a 3340mAh battery.
Huawei Nova 2 comes with a price tag of 2499 yuan ($364) and the Nova 2 Plus comes with a price tag of 2899 yuan ($423) in China. They will be available from 16th June in China but the smartphones are now available for pre-order. Both the devices come in Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Gold, Obsidian Black and Rose Gold color variants.
