HTC is all set to introduce its flagship smartphone HTC U11 in India on June 16th. Last month the device was announced officially. The company has already started to send invites for the event on June 16. Though the handset comes in two variants globally but India will get the 6GB RAM variant only. The device comes with a new feature called Edge Sense. With this feature, you can perform some selected actions by squeezing the HTC U11’s frame.
HTC 11 comes with a 5.5-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) Super LCD 5 display. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The handset is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB RAM. The internal storage is 128GB which can be expanded up to 2TB using microSD card. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with HTC Sense UI on the top.
HTC U11 sports a 12MP UltraPixel 3 rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, 1.4μm pixel, OIS and UltraSpeed AF. The front-facing camera is a 16MP lens which takes care of the selfies. The front camera can capture videos up to 1080p and it also has Selfie Panorama mode. According to the company, the handset beats Google Pixel by getting the DxOMark score of 90. The score is highest ever on any smartphone camera.
HTC U11 lacks 3.5mm headphone port so you have to use the USB-C to enjoy your music. The company is providing a very high-quality Active Noise Cancellation enabled earphone though. The device is Water and dust resistance certified by IP57. The Fingerprint sensor in this device is integrated into the Home button. Under the hood, it has a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.
HTC U11 comes with Sense Companion app which will give you suggestions based on your recent activity with the device. The handset has inbuilt Google Assistant in some regions while in some other regions it has Amazon Alexa.
HTC U11 will be available in Brilliant Black and Amazing Silver colors in India, confirmed by the company. The pricing and availability will be revealed tomorrow.
