According to rumors, HTC is working on its next flagship, HTC 11 which is codenamed as HTC Ocean. The device was spotted for the first time in a leaked video with another unknown HTC handset.
Back in October, renowned tipster, Evan Blass confirmed about HTC Ocean via a Twitter post. Afterward, another well-known tipster, @LlabTooFeR not only confirmed the handset but also revealed the name of three variants: Ocean Master, Ocean Note, and Ocean Smart.
It is likely that there will be more than one display sizes of the handset. A rumor conveys that there will be a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel display. Another rumor conveys that at least one variant will come with a curved display. However, it is not yet leaked that whether HTC will go for LCD display or AMOLED display.
Running in 4GB of RAM, the device is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. A Weibo post revealed that HTC 11 will feature dual rear cameras of 12MP and a front camera of 8MP. As far as other features are concerned, HTC 11 is expected to support Google’s new VR platform, Daydream, USB Type-C interface and HTC Sense and come with a front sitting fingerprint scanner. The device will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The device is expected to be launched during MWC 2017 but however if that does not happen, the device might be released in March 2017.
