Back to MWC 2.17, Huawei’s subbrand Honor had introduced it as Honor V9 and in China, it is sold as Honor 8 Pro. Back to April, the company had officially introduced this smartphone globally as Flagship Honor 8 Pro and today they have officially launched in India. Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The body is thinner than iPhone 7. The device is powered by Octa-Core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor with whopping 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. The storage can be expanded up to 128GB with the microSD card. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based on Emotion UI 5.1.
The smartphone has dual 12MP rear cameras, one with Monochrome lens and another with RGB lens. The rear cameras come with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and can record videos up to 4K. The front-facing camera is an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture. Apart from that, this device supports Hybrid Dual SIM with 4G LTE. A Fingerprint sensor is also placed at the back beneath the rear cameras. The device also comes with a larger 4000mAh non-removable battery under the hood fast charging technology support. The battery can be charged 100% within 1 hours 50 minutes.
Honor 8 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs. 29,999 in India. For Amazon Prime members it will be available on July 11th during Prime sale and for the normal customers it will be available from July 13 from Amazon.in. The device comes in Navy Blue and Midnight Black color variants. Vodafone India offers free 45GB of Data for 5 months.
