Since the end of November, Honor is running Android Nougat Beta tests for Honor 8. The company is also working on EMUI 5.0 to run atop of Android Nougat. Honor pointed that it will release the Android Nougat version of Honor 8 within February 2017.
EMUI 5.0 will integrate new learning algorithms and optimizations. Your frequently used apps will be prioritized for optimal performance. Further, there will be a set of new power saving modes which will reduce the overall power consumption. More or less the new UI is identical to that found Huawei Mate 9.
The phone will be powered by a Kirin 950 chipset. Honor 8 is the company’s first handset to come with dual camera technology. The dual camera setup is defined by 12MP. The handset comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p display. Offering native storage options 32 GB and 64 GB, the handset runs in 4GB of RAM. The device is backed up by a 3000mAh battery.
