Earlier Google has shaken the smartphone manufacturers by introducing it’s new smartphone’s Pixel and Pixel XL. Later the messaging and video calling apps arrive, Google Allo and Duo. Whereas now, Google has unleashed a new app for Android devices called as Trusted Contacts. The search giant claims it as a new personal safety app which is meant to help users in times of emergency. The app mostly relies on geological location which works somewhat similar to Google Latitude. Though the Trusted Contacts app has some of the same features of Latitude, its functionality helps the users in emergency situations.

The app allows you to share your exact location with the chosen trusted contacts. With Trusted Contacts you can also see where your best friends and family are, only if they have selected to show their locations with you. To do this, you must first choose your trusted people and grant them the trusted status in the app. Aftermath, they’ll be able to see your recent activity like you current location and so on.

If you are in an unsafe situation, then you can share the exact location of yours with trusted contacts. Additionally, the app also works in an alternative way like if your family is worried about you, they can request you to share your location with them. You can neglect it if you’re fine and if you fail to respond in a particular time the area gets shared on its own.

However, you can deny others anytime from seeing your location and also can replace your trusted contacts whenever you want. The Trusted Contacts app functions in offline too, so if someone requests your location when you don’t have access to the Internet, they’ll get your previous position. The app is currently available on Google Play for download, so go ahead and try now.
