The Google Home Mini and Home Max are two of the first products that are announced at the Google Pixel 2 special launch event.
The Google Home Mini is a compact Google Home device with a curvier design that suits best in any corner of your house. Except for its smaller, curvier design and fabric casing, all the functionalities remain similar to that of the Google Home smart speaker.
The Google Home Max is a performance speaker featuring dual 4.5-inch high-excursion woofers and dual custom 0.7-inch tweeters. The Home Max speaker is said to be 20x louder when compared to the first Google Home speaker and can be placed either horizontally or vertically.
The Home Max speaker especially boosts the low-frequency ranges and features “Smart Sound”, which lets the speaker dynamically adapt to the user and the surrounding in which it is placed so as to tune the volume, EQ etc of the speaker. This feature is powered by Google AI and the speaker currently supports music services like Spotify and YouTube Music.
The Google Home Mini speaker will be available starting 19th of October for $49 in three different colors. The Google Home Max is priced at $399
The Google Home Max is priced at $399 and will be available in two different shades of grey starting December 2017 in the US. The Home Max also come with one year free YouTube Red and YouTube Music subscription for an ad-free experience.
Both the devices are part of the Google Home product portfolio thus featuring Google Assistant support and will have all the features and functionalities that was featured in the earlier Google Home speaker.
