As expected, Google has officially announced Google Daydream View VR headset which is Pixel and Pixel XL compatible. Previously, it was discussed back in May this year at I/O conference.
Google claims to have hired cloth designers to get the soft microfiber design of this headset. Daydream View VR is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, and it weighs 30% lighter than similar devices. Further, the device is also designed to fit over sunglass. The headset will come in three different colors: Snow, Crimson, and Slate.
Google has already collaborated with HTC, Samsung, LG, Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, Alcatel and Asus to make Daydream compatible smartphones. Further, later this year, Google is also reported to work with 50 volunteers for apps and games development.
The Smartphone and the headset will feature an auto-alignment system. When not in use, the Daydream controllers of the VR headset will slide into the headset.
The Daydream View VR headset will be available along with the controller since November 2016 at the rate of $79.
