Galaxy S8 will be Samsung’s next flagship bearer after the disastrous Galaxy Note 7. According to the rumors, Galaxy S8 will be the first ever handset to use optical fingerprint scanning technology which is quite different from the ultrasonic fingerprint scanning technology. A few days back, we reported that Galaxy S8 will sport a bezel-less OLED display.
As per Weibo user, @ice universe, Galaxy S8 will sport a new screen material, keeping the 2K resolution of its previous generation. This post hints that Galaxy S8 might be the first Samsung device to feature the new display technology.
Samsung has not yet issued orders of the components used in making home key. This fact suggests that the Korean company might ditch the physical home button.
Technically, if Samsung rejects the physical home button, it will be able to reduce the bottom bezel of the handset to achieve 90% screen to body ratio.
