While most of the Tech giant companies are working to make “fast charging” technology more stable then Sony is developing a “Slow Charging” technology. Because according to them ‘Too fast is not good’.
Sony recently added a button for “Slow Charge” on Xperia Z2 / Z3’s AOSP Beta firmware based on Android Marshmallow. By activating the button it will ensures that the device will not heat up much. While OPPO and Qualcomm are completely different and working on fast charging but it’s true that the smartphones heat up a lot. The heating issue might give some problem to the battery so Sony is working on it to avoid such issues. While charging at the night the “Slow Charge” might give some extra benefit to the battery and extend it’s backup.
