After introducing features similar to Snapchat in Facebook Messenger, now the social media giant is adding a new feature to it. Facebook announced a new update that fetches a group video chat feature to its Messenger Application, which looks similar to Skype. The group video chat was most requested feature by many users, and so the Facebook wants it to make available on all platforms soon.

The users can now quickly perform video chats in groups with Facebook Messenger. To make group video chat, you just need to open a new or existing conversation and tap on video icon present at the top right corner of the screen. Each person in the group will receive a notification informing that the video chat session has begun. Later, each one of them in group conversation can join the video chat at any time with a single tap.

The new group video chat feature only allows up to six members to look each other at a time. But it doesn’t signify that you can’t add more than six people to your conversation chat. Aside from that, up to 50 members can join in and select just to listen in via voice or be on camera. When there are over six people on a call, only the main speaker will visible to all the other members.

From now onwards, Facebook will be pushing out the new feature to all Android and iOS devices across the world. The same group video chat feature will also be arriving on the desktop version of Messenger, too.
