A few days ago, some iPhone 6 Plus users reported that all of a sudden, their device is freezing and becoming unresponsive while touching.
Recently, Apple acknowledged the issue as ‘Touch disease’ and also rolled out a global repair program. In this repair program, Apple offers to repair the malfunctioning devices at the rate of $149 (Approximately INR 10,150) if the handset is in working condition and the screen is not cracked.
You will be easily pointing out whether your device is running alright or not because the phone will display flickering gray bar at the top of the screen. This happens because the ‘touch IC’ connectors get slightly detached from the phone’s logic board.
In the meanwhile, Apple announced that iPhone 6 might face display flickering if it is dropped on a hard surface.
Apple stated:
“Apple has determined that some iPhone 6 Plus devices may exhibit display flickering or Multi-Touch issues after being dropped multiple times on a hard surface and then incurring further stress on the device.
If your iPhone 6 Plus is exhibiting the symptoms noted above, is in working order, and the screen is not cracked or broken, Apple will repair your device for a service price of $149.”
