On January 4, Asus will host a launch event at Consumer Electronic Show (CES), where it’ll be unveiling it’s new ZenFone handset. Right now, the company has once again confirmed it by teasing the upcoming device. Asus is making its new smartphone special by announcing that it is powered by “the world’s best processor”. Most probably, Asus is alleging about the Snapdragon 835 which is the Qualcomm’s latest flagship SoC.
The Snapdragon 835 is smaller, but more powerful and more energy-efficient when compared to Snapdragon 820 of 2016. Besides that, Qualcomm will also be disclosing more information about the Snapdragon 835 at CES. Regarding the specifications of its new handset, Asus only revealed that it would have a dual rear camera.

However, the company haven’t yet confirmed that new smartphone is likely a next generation ZenFone Zoom or not. Asides that it also needs to be seen whether this also an upcoming part of Zenfone 4 series or not. Obviously, there are most of the chances that it’ll be the world’s first Snapdragon 835-based smartphone. Additionally, we could also expect a more modest Asus phone with a large battery.
